Meet the team: Nitesh Patel

Since joining Ficep UK in 2022, Nitesh Patel has been an integral part of the field service team. With a strong background in electrical engineering and extensive experience in working with mechanical systems, Nitesh brings technical expertise and a passion for problem-solving to this role. Here we find out more about Nitesh and expertise.

How did your career in engineering begin?

I graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 2006. My father worked as an IT engineer and my uncle specialised in mechanical engineering. Watching them sparked my interest in pursuing a career where I could combine practical skills with cutting-edge technology.

I began my career as a maintenance engineer in factories, where I gained hands-on experience with a variety of technologies. Later, I spent eight years at Pradman, a role that regularly brought me into contact with Ficep UK. This gave me invaluable insight into the systems I now work with every day.

What does your role involve?

As a field service engineer, I’m responsible for maintaining and repairing machines, replacing parts and visiting customer sites to resolve any mechanical and electrical issues which might arise. I also deliver training sessions to operators, helping them maximise the efficiency and performance of their machines.

One of the most enjoyable aspects of my role is its variety. Every day is different and I enjoy the challenge of solving problems and learning more about Ficep’s innovative systems. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that my work helps our customers keep their operations running smoothly.

What’s it like being part of the Ficep UK team?

Everyone here is incredibly skilled and supportive and I’ve learned so much since joining. I also enjoy sharing my knowledge with customers and seeing them become more confident in using their machines.

What do you enjoy most about working at Ficep UK?

The flexibility of my role allows me to focus on what I love - being hands-on, tackling challenges and learning about new technologies. The ever-evolving nature of the work keeps it exciting and I’m proud to be part of a team that’s committed to excellence. I look forward to continuing to grow in my role and contributing to Ficep UK’s success.
